Balsam Kresowy is a speciality from the West of Poland and is elaborated according to a unique recipe including plants, herbs and spices.
Balsams are traditional drinks coming from the merchant culture of Baltic countries. Historically, pharmacists and alcohol makers prepared vodka macerated with plants and herbs to bring flavors but also to take an advantage from the health properties of those botanicals. The local merchants participated a lot to the spreading of Balsam drinks in the Baltic area.
